Carla Hoover has been awarded; Activity Director Of The Year award, by the Pet Prescription Team. Carla has been a fabulous supporter of the Pet Prescription Team for the past 2 years. Presently she serves as the Activities Director of Emeritus at Brea, Ca.
Over the years Carla has served as a liaison for the Pet Prescription Team making the Brea facility not only a place for our Therapy dogs to visit each month but has been a fabulous supporter of our organization. Because of her great support and her heart and knowledge of the healing power of pets many of the residents have had a personal relationship with Dylan a Therapy dog who visits at Emeritus each week.
I have asked Carla what her jobs primary focus is and she says; “We try to make the residents lives exciting each day.”
Truly you can see when visiting at the facility that Carla see’s her job more than a job but a mission to bring joy to all the residents. The activities in which she makes available to the residents from special birthday parties, field-trips, and movie trips are just a drop in the bucket to how she keeps all the residence busy and active.
On December 5th, Carla was presented the Activity Director of the Year Award by the Pet Prescription Team.
