Policy Violation On Visitations

To Our Pet Prescription Team Volunteers,

First, I want to acknowledge and thank the many of you who consistently represent this organization with professionalism, care, and respect for our standards. You are the heart of Pet Prescription Team, and I do not take that lightly.

I am addressing a serious concern that has recently come to my attention.

At no time, under any circumstances, is a dog to be off-leash at any facility we visit, whether indoors or outdoors, anywhere on the premises. This is not a suggestion, it is a strict policy. It is in place for the safety of those we serve, the protection of our teams, and the integrity of our organization.

In addition, dogs are not to be barking during visits. This is not appropriate behavior in a therapeutic setting and will not be tolerated.

These standards are not new. They are rooted in common sense, local leash laws, and the requirements of our insurance coverage. Failure to follow them places everyone at risk and jeopardizes the future of Pet Prescription Team.

It is deeply disappointing to have to address this, especially after seeing evidence of these behaviors publicly. This is not who we are, and it will not be accepted.

Let me be absolutely clear, if I become aware of any dog being off-leash or behaving inappropriately during a visit, the handler will be removed from the organization and will not be eligible for certification through Pet Prescription Team.

Thank you again to those who uphold these standards every single visit. We will continue to protect the integrity of this organization without exception.
