Visitation Discussions

This is our friend Kimiko. Kimiko suffered a few strokes awhile back and she now has some brain damage. She also has dysphonia, so her voice sounds very hoarse and rough, and it’s painful for her to talk at times. Her doctor is worried about the health of her voice, so she has been on vocal rest for quite awhile now. Before she was on vocal rest, Kimiko always requested her favorite trick from Astro and would always yell “Astro, woof!” Since she’s been on vocal rest, we have found a way for her to still communicate with us in a way that lets her be herself! Each time we end a call, I always say, “Let’s get one last woof for Kimiko!”
