Dear PPT Family,
As I sit down to write this, my heart is full, full of gratitude, reflection, hope, and a deep appreciation for every single one of you who makes PPT what it is.
This past year has been one of growth, perseverance, and purpose. On a personal note, I want to thank you for the incredible kindness, patience, prayers, encouragement, and love you have shown me. There were moments this year when I leaned heavily on the strength of this community, and you carried me with compassion, humor, faith, and unwavering support. I will never forget that. Truly.
Now let me say this clearly.
YOU are the heart of PPT.
Not the logo.
Not the paperwork.
Not even the dogs,and we really love the dogs.
YOU.
Because of your dedication, your time, your willingness to show up again and again, and your commitment to our mission, PPT has continued to bring comfort to hospitals, schools, libraries, veterans, first responders, jails, nursing homes, special needs programs, crisis events, and so many hearts that needed hope. You did not just visit,you changed lives.This year, you carried the vision.You protected the mission.You represented PPT with professionalism, kindness, and excellence. And you did it with wagging tails, open hearts, and a whole lot of love.From the bottom of my heart, thank you.PPT is standing strong because of you.
Looking Ahead Where We Are Going
As we move forward, we are continuing to strengthen PPT’s foundation so we can grow responsibly, expand our outreach, and serve even more people and communities in need. That means building sustainable programs, expanding partnerships, improving training, and ensuring that every volunteer and therapy team is protected, supported, and equipped to succeed.
We have beautiful opportunities ahead,new facilities, new outreach programs, new communities, and new hearts waiting to be touched. The future of PPT is bright.
Membership Dues Why They Matter
It is now time for annual membership dues, and I want to share why they are so incredibly important.
First, I also want to clearly explain how our dues structure works, because this is what allows us to properly insure, support, and protect every single team.
Membership dues are assessed per certified dog and per individual volunteer handler.
This means that each certified dog in a family home carries its own dues, and each volunteer handler also pays individual dues.
When a dog is shared between multiple handlers, each handler contributes their own membership.
For example:
• Two dogs and one handler = two membership dues
• One dog with three handlers = three membership dues
This structure ensures that every dog, every handler, and every visit we make is properly insured and supported, while also allowing our organization to grow with stability and integrity.
Your dues provide the essential support that keeps PPT operating safely and professionally, including:
• Insurance coverage for our teams
• Administrative and operational costs
• Training materials and resources
• Outreach program development
• Organizational growth and sustainability
Without this foundation, the beautiful work you do simply cannot continue.
This is not just a payment,it is an investment in every visit, every smile, every tear, every story, and every life we touch together. Your dues ensure that PPT remains strong, protected, and ready to serve for the year ahead.
